Feature Request: Native OpenStreetMap Integration Module
Hi AppMaster Team and Community,
I’d like to request the addition of a native OpenStreetMap (OSM) integration module, similar to the existing Google Maps module currently available in the platform.
Why this is important:
- Open-source and free: OSM is a powerful, open-source alternative to Google Maps, making it ideal for cost-sensitive projects or those requiring open data.
- No API key dependency: Reduces reliance on third-party billing and usage limits.
- Custom styling and flexibility: OSM supports tools like Leaflet.js, enabling highly customizable and interactive map features.
- Ideal for offline or self-hosted use cases.
Suggested features:
- A built-in map component that uses OpenStreetMap tiles.
- Support for dynamic markers, user interactions (click, drag, select), and coordinate fetching.
- Integration with AppMaster’s business processes to trigger logic based on map input.
- Optional support for routing, drawing tools, and geolocation features.
This would be a huge win for developers looking for more flexibility and open mapping options in their AppMaster apps.
Would love to hear thoughts from others in the community and if the AppMaster team has this on the roadmap!
Thanks!
