About a year ago, we introduced Google Cloud as an additional cloud provider to host and run customer projects. While our initial agreement was to use GCP for a two-year period under the Google for Startups program, today we received an email from the Google team informing us that they will not extend our benefits for the next year, effective immediately.
GCP was a good alternative to AWS for hosting applications, but with our architecture, it turned out to be about 50% more expensive than AWS.
In the coming days, we will migrate all of our GCP infrastructure to AWS. No new deployment plans can be created using GCP regions. All existing projects located on GCP servers will continue running, and optional relocation will be offered to our existing customers on a case-by-case basis.
Our Enterprise Customers and LARs will retain the option to use GCP for any projects without limitations.
If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to our team.
