For some reason instead of receiving titles in select custom multiple I get IDs of objects.

Check your business process. Probably mismatch of Data and Selected. Make sure that you have titles in Select Custom Data array.
Element from Selected is matched with Data by ID. If Data empty, or selected element is not found, only ID will be shown.
