1st impression - unique opportunity - Love it..BUT

Greetings all
i wanted to use the unique “first impression” moment to provide feedback.

a) After testing endless! NoCode tools ( from Bubble to Flutterflow to …you name it) i finally found appmaster which seems to check all the boxes i fancy. Nice

b) I realized that there were basically no recent youtube videos ( intros 2 years old) , so i was sceptical if the project is still alive.

c) I gave it a try , because the features appmaster provides are exactly what an entire community needs ( this includes me

d) i was looking for templates. I am (like 50%? of all people ) a visual learner. the logic and intro, all makes sense , but i learn from examles. I couldnt find any templates :frowning: …worse…for 2 years it seems …“coming soon” . -2 points on the trust level.

e) I am checking the plugins …coming from Buble or others , which drown in integrations , i am suprised that only some few exist …another -2 points on the trust scale …

f) after assimilating literally 50+ noCode tools i am REALLY sure that appmaster is the only one ( i am currenlty aware of) that does exactly what is really needed in the long run …no bubble bizarre server-credits, no vendor lock-in …an extremley appealing way of moving forward…

IF there wasnt this showstopper of “handicapped” people like me who extract from examples.

my background : we have developed entire platforms for the human genome project with Labview ( one of the first visual programming languages 30+ years back) in order to control our robot farms …physical robots , realtime 50 axis bla bla etc…a few examples and entire teams started working …nothing could beat our speed …and finally there is appmaster …but no templates to leanr from …ahhh

Is there any chance to find some learning templates somewhere ?
again: this is the first impression and it might be completely stupid but nevertheless maybe worth mention it, as most other platforms start with nice templates …
Am i the only one?

Besides Oleg and team…awesome work for what i can see…i can barely imagine how much time you put into the platform and i would love to become a paying user …

Have nice evening
Cheers from Germany
U.

Hey @Urban
Welcome to our community!

Thank you for your feedback - that’s very valuable for us!
Most of your points are indeed stopping factors for many new users of our platform. We still lack some features and updated documentation/videos.

Recently we changed our priority and finally started implementation of the templates. I believe that we will be able to launch the first version of templates in around 3 weeks. Even if we are not be able add “create from template” feature in the first iteration, you will still be able to open project and check everything inside.

Usually we create modules if there is no way to implement feature without it. Here is a quick example: you can call any REST compatible APi using HTTP Request logic block or External API Designer with no issues, but if you need to call something more complicated with additional requirements (like AWS S3 Sig v4 or Stripe Webhook with signatures) we need to create a module to remove a lot of hassle from you.

We are a very small team with no external funding, so we need to stay focused and do more with less.

While we started about 4 years ago, we still have a very long way to make our platform a best tool for software development.

Oleg (can’t mention you as a new user)),
Probably all your users including me need templates and good documentation. I figured out a lot on my own, but there are so many features you have that can be useful in my projects and I just don’t have time to learn by trying/testing.

Since this was back in July, maybe templates are closer now?

What about the wizard option, or maybe an AI builder?

Urban, have you started using the platform already?

Hey @davidvm
Yesterday we added our first template into production - sample CRM.
There are minor issues in our template system (like 25+ sec to bootstrap project from template), but we have everything in place and can make templates for various use cases.
